The wait is officially over. Today, we are thrilled to launch THE CIPHER—a 4-week interactive campaign running from 21 July to 16 August 2026, featuring up to USD 15,000 in total prizes (including fixed USD 8,000 rewards, xPortal Pro upgrades, and a growing chest capped at USD 5,000)!

At the heart of the campaign lies a mysterious treasure chest locked inside xPortal. To open it, the community must forge four distinct sigils across four weekly challenges.

Whether you’re climbing the qualified volume leaderboards or inviting friends globally, here is everything you need to know about the campaign, the official rules, and how to get involved.

How It Works

Participating in THE CIPHER is seamless and takes less than a minute:

Connect Once: Open xPortal, navigate to The Cipher in the Dapps section, and tap to connect your wallet. This is a secure login only—it never moves funds or asks for private recovery details. You join once and are automatically entered for all four weeks.

Do Qualifying Actions: Complete the current week’s challenge actions inside xPortal to earn qualified volume and push your position up the board.

Climb the Board & Open the Chest: Compete on weekly leaderboards for published prizes. On 16 August 2026 at 12:00 EEST, all four weeks close live and the season leaderboard settles. The season’s No. 1 unlocks the grand prize chest on 17 August 2025 at 12 EEST.

Missed a week? Don't panic! You can complete a previous week’s challenge later to forge its sigil and stay eligible for the season finale. However, volume counts only in its own week—actions completed after a week ends will not add qualified volume to past weekly leaderboards.

Weekly Challenges & Qualified Volume

The promotion runs across four weekly spotlight periods:

• Week 1 (21 – 26 July): On-ramp purchases and swaps.
• Week 2 (27 July – 2 August): Announced at the start of Week 2.
• Week 3 (3 August – 9 August): Announced at the start of Week 3.
• Week 4 (10 August – 16 August): Announced at the start of Week 4.

What Counts Towards Your Rank?

Rankings are strictly decided by qualified volume from spot actions (on-ramp purchases, swaps, and card spending at merchants). Raw card top-ups or simple balances do not count.

To keep the competition fair and accessible, strict caps apply:

Minimum threshold: Actions must be USD 10 or more to qualify.

Weekly caps: Up to USD 80,000 of qualified swap volume and USD 20,000 of qualified on-ramp volume per participant, per week.

Fair-play caps: Once you reach a weekly cap, additional activity earns no further competition volume.

Note: In the event of a tie in qualified volume, ranks are broken deterministically by the earliest qualifying timestamp recorded in xPortal’s backend—never by random chance.

The Prize Structure

Competition cash prizes are fixed, published in advance, and awarded solely by leaderboard rank:

Each Week’s Leaderboard (Monday to Sunday)

1st Place: USD 500 in EGLD

2nd – 5th Place: USD 200 in EGLD each

6th – 15th Place: 1 month of xPortal Pro

Season Finale (16 August 2026, 12:00 EEST)

Season rankings are based on your total qualified volume across all four weeks (under the same weekly caps):

No. 1 Overall: The Chest (up to USD 5,000 in EGLD)

2nd – 5th Overall: USD 450 in EGLD each

Ranks 21 to 45 Overall: 1 month of xPortal Pro each (25 upgrades allocated deterministically by rank).

How The Chest Grows

The Chest starts at USD 1,000. Each week, it grows by USD 1 for every participant who completes that week’s challenge (up to USD 1,000 of growth per week), capping at a maximum of USD 5,000.

Free Weekly Visitor Draw

For visitors who connect a wallet on The Cipher page but do not enter the competition, USD 250 in EGLD is awarded at random each week via random.org. Competition entrants are excluded from this draw, ensuring paid activity never affects draw odds. (Subject to territorial availability).
